    • Relieve stress
Tango dancing lowers stress and makes dancers feel sexier and more relaxed
and thus has a positive effect on their emotional state.  The tango requires intense focus to
learn the footwork, and that focus interrupts negative thoughts that can bring on anxiety and
depression.  The physical expressiveness of the tango helps people release pent up
feelings so that they can start to deal with them.  The high levels of communication
required and the close embrace during the dance contribute to the highly positive feelings
and good connection that a tango couple feels.
